MHR Series
Aurum’s MHR Series is our replacement solution for outdated blow through fan coil units that are wide and shallow. By keeping the basic operations on this system, Aurum has revolutionized our fan coil unit to provide better energy efficiency, airflow and overall comfort. The slide-in chassis is designed for an efficient, non-invasive replacement.
Coil
Aurum Manufacturing’s coils for the MHR series are built with type L copper tubing, aluminum fins, and stainless-steel side rails. All coils are brazed for maximum durability. Copper piping is insulated to prevent sweating in summer months. Before delivery, all coils undergo pressure tests and visual inspections. Coils can be customized to meet job specifications and unique building configurations (e.g., allowing for an upwards supply feed).
Chassis
The MHR series chassis is constructed using 100% 20-gauge stainless steel, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion. The interior is lined with closed-cell insulation to minimize moisture buildup and reduce noise from vibrations. Chassis dimensions vary across MHR models, as detailed in the product dimension chart.
Fan Blower
Aurum offers a range of motor and blower options tailored to specific project requirements. Available options include: - EC motors (standard) - Variable speed motors - PSC motors
Drain Pan
The MHR series drain pan is made from 100% 20-gauge stainless steel, virtually eliminating the risk of rust. All corners of the drain pan are welded, and it features a positive slope to facilitate quick and effective drainage. The bottom is insulated to prevent condensation and minimize vibration noise.
Union Connections
The MHR series includes union connections for easy installation and future serviceability, streamlining maintenance and reducing downtime.
Control Valve and Actuator
Aurum offers flexibility in control valve configurations for the MHR series, with options including: - Power open / power close - Normally open / normally closed - Spring return
Control Centre
The MHR series control box is engineered for easy accessibility during servicing. Aurum provides a variety of control options to accommodate diverse building requirements while exceeding industry standards. Options include: - Heat only / Cool only - Heat and Cool (2-pipe) - Heat and Cool (4-pipe) - Heat and Cool with auxiliary heater (2-pipe)
